1970 CORVETTE CUSTOM 80'S STREET MACHINE
EXTERIOR: 1970 CORVETTE CUSTOM. BARN FIND FRESH OUT OF STORAGE. THE CAR WAS BUILT IN THE EARLY 80'S. THE CAR HAS ALL THE CUSTOM CORVETTE GOODIES. FEATURES AN AFTERMARKET L-88 HOOD, WIDE BODY L-88 WHEEL FLARES, FRONT SPOILER, EXC. THE CUSTOM BODY WORK WAS DONE RIGHT. ALL BODY LINES APPEAR CORRECT AND FIT AS THEY SHOULD. THE CAR WAS CUSTOMIZED BECAUSE THE PREVIOUS OWNER WANTED IT CUSTOMIZED, NOT BECAUSE IT WAS WRECKED LIKE MOST CUSTOM CORVETTES. OVERALL THE CAR SHOWS WELL FOR BEING BUILT 40+ YEARS AGO. THECAR HAS A NICE PATINA W/ TYPICAL SIGNS OF AGE.
INTERIOR: THE INTERIOR IS MOSTLY STOCK. I STARTED TO RESTORE THE INTERIOR. I INSTALLED NEW CARPETING AND STEERING WHEEL. I STARTED TO WORK ON THE GAUGES AND RADIO BUT NEVER FINISHED.
UNDERCARRIAGE: I STARTED TO WORK ON THE BRAKES AND SUSPENSION. I REPLACED THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER, FRONT & REAR CALIPERS, BRAKES, ROTORS, HOSES, SHOCKS, ETC. THE CAR NOW HAS BRAKES AND ROLLS.
DRIVETRAIN: LATE 70'S MILD HIGH PERFORMANCE 350 ENGINE. (NOT ORIGINAL) FEATURES AN EDELBROCK TUNNEL RAM W/ 2 HOLLEY CARBS, HOOKER HEADERS W/ SIDE PIPES. TH400 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THE PREVIOUS OWNER SAID IT RAN AND DROVE WHEN PARKED. I STARTED TO WORK ON GETTING IT RUNNING, BUT NEVER FINISHED. I INSTALLED NEW HOSES, WATER PUMP, BELTS, ALTERNATOR, MSD DISTRIBUTOR, CAP, WIRES, ETC. THE ENGINE STILL NEEDS FINISHING IN ORDER TO START. NEEDS TIMING SET, MSD IGNITION BOX, COMPLETE FUEL LINES, THROTTLE LINKAGE, FLUIDS CHANGED, GAUGES FIXED AND FINISHED, ETC. THE CAR TURNS OVER, BUT CURRENTLY DOES NOT RUN OR DRIVE.
I HAD INTENTIONS ON RESTORING THE CAR, BUT DO NOT HAVE THE TIME OR INDOOR STORAGE TO KEEP IT IN.
ODOMETER READS 65,629 MILES. MILES ARE EXEMPT ON TITLE DUE TO AGE. |
